Default Phal Tay Kiah Huan

Got this Phal Tay Kiah Huan as a seedling (Phal Michael Chamorro x Phal Dragon Tree Eagle), and this is it's first flowering.
Surprising that it turn out so red, just nice for a Chinese New Year.

Beautiful! The shape and color are amazing...seedlings scare me because of all the work that can be put into growing them only to have a terrible flower, but so many success stories on here has me ready to try.

I started on phals quite a few years ago, and bought many seedlings over these period. Whenever they have their first flower spike, it always bring lots of anticipation to me as to how they will turn out. Quite a few of my seedlings have survived till now, and are already putting out flowering spikes

However, buying a novelty phal in bloom will give you a better idea of how the flower form and colour will turn out.

That is extremely nice! Great color! The form should improve as it matures.

This one is not fragrant.

Yup, hopefully the form will improve as it matures. The flower spike was pressing against a tree stem while it was growing, so there are some indented petals.

It looks so waxy and long lasting. In the picture the tippy tips look orange. It really is such a pretty flower. I hope it lasts a good long time for you.
