Hi all! My husby went to home depot for some electrical supplies and naturally I went to the plant section. I looked at the orchids and they were the usual purple or white varieties which I already have.

So I went around the back of the stand and hiding between the boston ferns and the orchid stand was this beauty. Stupid computer won't let me post the picture. Anyway, it is a white phalaenopsis as big as my palm with a light spotting of purple polka dots and yellow on the lip. Lovely really.

Anyway, I take it to the service desk to ask for 10% off since one of the blooms was damaged (cheap of me I know) and the young lady who will remain un-named said "I can't get it to mark down so I'll just give it to you."

Just like that, she gave me a $15.00 orchid. Well, I said thank you and snapped it right back into my cart. Who'd have thought, a free phallie at the home depot?! I just wish I could get my computer to co-operate so I could show you the pictures. Amazing, a free phallie!

It doesn't show up for me, but I know exactly the kind you're talking about! How exciting! I'm glad she was feeling generous that night :-)

Nice! Last year I got a free mini Catt at TJ's .... it was missing the usual cellophane sleeve, and when the cashier reached into the shopping basket, he knocked off one of the blooms. Apologizing, he told me there would be no charge for the plant!

I would let them knock off a bloom if they would give it to me. LOL!
