Default Potted up Scarletts keikis :)

Today I put two keikis in med. fir bark [ soaked overnight] Really hope they do well The roots were Crazy long, so I wet them till they were limber, and tucked them in the pot. Here is one that is going to a fellow orchid lover.

and here is Mom and baby

I've never tried bark for phals before, and thought to take the chance

Amazing!
How long did it take from seeing a keiki on a spike to having a separate full grown plant in bloom?

Your friend it so lucky!

Would love to hear from someone in Canada with a keiki from a blue Phal!

Thanks for sharing!

Looks great, and wow, what a lovely color! What a lucky friend you have.

I have a few keikis to pot up soon as well. I waited too long those and they are spiking while still attached to mommy. Maybe I'll let them bloom first.

Thats what this baby did, [spike on the Mom] Thats great you have baby spikers
I just took the baby off including the flowers, and it has not effected it at all .Good luck with your keikis

rlilia, it took a year and a half for this baby to bloom [from pasting the parent plant, to blooming still attached to mom

Thanks so much Everyone
