Oh I did a forgetful thing one day and while tending to my Phals and forgot to put one back on the stand. Eddie the house bunny found his way to the orchid room and chewed a good portion of a leaf. Thank goodness his mischief did not poison him. He also chewed off and ate one of the air roots. The leaf he chewed is under a bigger leaf and looks terrible. Can I take a razor blade and cut the leaf straight off to even it all out without doing harm? Should I put some cinamon on the cut part then? Now that Eddie knows about the orchids and sampled one that funny bunny heads right to the orchid room.

Your bunny sounds like one of our cats! Only he doesn't bother the Phals. It's the oncidium and grassy leafed types he likes.

Yes, you can cut it and put some cinnamon on it. Sounds like a good plan!

Yes my cat used to nibble on everything here. I left the pot of italian parsley out and he got that too. That was for my turkey stuffing next month! I will try for a nice clean cut on the leaf. Thank you!
