Mutant- What does the plant look like? Does it look more like a violacea or an equestris? Beautiful color!

Well, to be honest, I don't know enough about violacea to give you a good answer but as far as I can tell, it looks more like an equestris (but with slightly rounder leaves) than a violacea. The spikes are short though and there doesn't seem to be any more buds developing.
But I totally love it, it was a gamble that really payed off.  |

I don't know if they're siblings to this one, but Big Leaf has some as well (violacea var Indigo X equestris var alba), mature size in the online store and a couple in bloom on their ebay. The 2 in bloom on ebay look very much like the one in this thread. I bought one a couple weeks ago, not yet in spike. |

Yup, they are siblings. Apparently Peter got them from the same grower as Schwerter did.  |

In case anyone else is curious this is one of the Sapphire Dragon Orchid crosses. He mainly does blue phals. His site is a pain to get into and figure out but I think he does that on purpose 
nice I love anything blue that has orchid in it!!!

Hmmm, I'm not seeing this specific cross on Rob Shepherd's Blue Sapphire site, although he certainly does have blueish Equalacea's. His article earlier this year in Phalaenopsis magazine about his quest to breed blue orchids is a fascinating read.
I got my Phal. Equalacea (violacea. var Indigo x equestris alba) from Big Leaf, which The Mutant noted up-thread is a sibling to his and apparently came from the same grower as the one he bought from Schwerter.

As Jayfar has already pointed out, it isn't a Sapphire Dragon Orchid cross. I bought it with the hope that it would look something like a Sapphire Dragon Orchid cross since I, like you, love blue orchids and I was lucky! If I could order from Sapphire Dragon Orchids, I would be even more lucky though... 
This cross was imported from Thailand, from which grower though, I don't know. I'm glad that the violacea indigo is so dominant in the cross.  |
