Default Doritaenopsis Purple Gem

Just found this little beauty in a local grocery store! Its a primary hybrid between Doritis pulcherrimum and Phalaenopsis equestris. The flowers are small but such a vibrant colour!

Oh Todd, that's very pretty. The color is fantastic, and I love the looks of anything with equestris in it. Good find!

Nice find!! Wish I had local grocery stores like that! That colour is a knock-out. Spectacular plant.

Nice find Todd!! I know I've seen this before in grocery stores, but always unlabelled. NExt time I will pay closer attention.

Hausermann's does carry this. I just got one last week. Mine has a spike with buds, but not quite ready to open yet.

Solana
(Who is banning herself from making any more trips to Hausermann's for at least a month or so...even though it's only 40 minutes away and SOOOO tempting!)
