Default Three for Monday

I haven't posted in awhile. I've never had luck taking pictures in direct sunlight. I can't believe these came out so good.

Tiger Butter 'Larkin Valley'
- first time I've posted this.

Ho's Greenwaves x violcea alba
- I post this one every time I get a pic. I don't care. I love it.

lueddemaniana
- bought this a couple years ago. I hope next year on a big established plant, the flowers will flatten out.
Lagoon, ezil, Merlyn and 10 others like this.

Holy Cow!!! Such beautiful phals! And the pictures are so crisp that they practically have texture. I've never been able to photo white flowers well and your second pic is stunning. Is the Ho's Greenwaves x violcea alba a waxy flower? Does it hold up? I can't tell from the picture - I imagine so because of the violecia, but can't be sure because I know nothing of the Greenwaves parent.

Great growing and thanks for sharing!

- J

No, its not waxy. It looks a little that way because its taken in direct sunlight. The flowers do hold up. I didn't stake it this time, so you can't tell that, but they usually do.

This is a seedling from Joseph Wu. Around the Big Leaf forum, some of us have started calling this type luedde a "Wu" type because they have all come from him. This is not an official designation. Some say this is not a true luedde, but I have seen an awarded one that was jungle collected.

You should be able to buy some of the seedlings from Krull Smith and they be similar. The parents of the seedlings they are selling are selected plants from Joseph Wu.

If you have deep pockets, Big Leaf has an awarded stem for sale of an awesome one. HERE

Beautiful! The first one looks like you painted the red on the plant and it's still "wet"

Gorgeous luedde! Love the violacea too. Post that one as often as you like. I'll never get tired of looking at it!
