thanks Nicole - first Phal that not only didn't die in my care, but has actually thrived - between the two plants in this pot, there were 6 spikes this past year. Sequentially blooming - I just recently cut them back because I couldn't fit the plant on the windowsill for a few months already.

Not consistantly like yours, but every now and then. I was mostly refering to the color pattern though, and I've seen so many with this color pattern throughout orchid board and nursrys/grocery stores. Mine is blooming right now, and are sort-of ruffled,but all the blooms are backward! (don't leave your house for more than a week and let your mom take care of your orchids, or at least remind her not to turn them around.)

Heres mine. This was my first orchid.It's currently in bloom for the 5th time on the same stem, this is it's 2nd bloom on that stem from two years ago! There are my two other orchids on that tiny table, a den. (gone to orchid heaven ) and another NOID, who is currently growing roots like crazy!

its in full bloom now. i didn't realize it til today, but i went to sit down on the sofa next to it and its FRAGRANT. its subtle but very much present. i kept getting wafts of something and didnt think it was the plant til i poked my nose towards it and wow. its smells of plumerias or some kind of tropical citrusy soap. very clean and light. what a great noid

nice! i noticed that the two smaller white phals i posted above are both fragrant

Some say epiphytic orchids are parasite, for living on trees.. However, I say that orchids are parasites for luring us humans to take them into our homes to feed and care for them. Much more care than they would get in the wild....

If I saw one like this one, Lots of spikes & flowers, pale colouring, 2 plants in one...I wouldn't resist! Delightful all round!

I dont buy many Noid Phals these days unless they look like this


and you can see what Im up against on occasions
