7000 us ? I am asuming USD7000? The local/chinese cymbidium cost that much but not for any phal from anywhere.
I think i said the price is RMB400 which is about USD56 for the whole plant. The perfect plant (supposedly to supply expo) which i think its overpriced due to lack of supply is only RMB2000 (about USD250).

Phal Sogo Yukidian is white in color, mine is with pink blush. I think the Phal Unimax Romance is much closer match.

The one really popular in Shanghai is the typical purple phal and the white large phal with bloom over 10cm but only about less than 15 bloom/spike. Those ones are really cheap here. Only RMB30 or about less than USD4.60 per plant. Most people buy the plant for the flowers only and then discard it after the flower droped. It always bothers me when i see people discarding perfectly healthy flowerless phal that takes years to grow.

I just saw the expo you're talking about on the news.. be sure to take lots of photos! i'd love to see them.

P.S. the correct name would be Phal. Ming-Hsing Eagle 'Unimax Romance'. Ming-Hsing Eagle is the name of all the plants from that cross, 'Unimax Romance' is the name of that particular clone.

I realize there is an old flower spike stud at the base. So this is not the first time the flower bloomed.
This is what i mean - they cut off the developing spike to stop it flowering for another year.

Some update and advise needed.

Update:

I have been wondering the Expo for three days. I saw lots of Orchids, mostly phals but still no sign of the subject orchid (ming hsing eagle). I recomend the Singapore pavillion which sport an orchid garden at the roof tops. Lots of rare orchids including Vandas and other orchids that i have never seen before.

Advice needed:

Speaking of my ming hsing eagle; It has bloomed four aditional flowers and is supporting 24 fully bloomed flowers in total with four unopened flower buds. Strangely enough, the plant is growing roots like crazy (i saw at least four roots with green/brown tips) and growing new leave at the crown!!! How can it support so many flowers and grow roots and leave at the same time?! I have never seen this in any of my phal.

I am getting worried because I only water using reverse osmosis water and did not feed any fertilizer. Should I feed it since it is showing rapid growth?

I don't want to ruin the flower since the flowers still shows no sign of aging after one month.
