Default Ho's Dreamy Jade- updated pic 4-7-10

Some discussion amongst friends has produced the idea that this plant might be mis-labeled by the person I bought it from. I think I agree, but for now, this is what we have to call it.

10 flowers and 16 buds all in a 4" pot

4-7-10

Ben, I saw your post from July '09 (Novelty Phalaenopsis - AOS Orchid Forum) about this plant and others.... what makes you believe it isn't what you thought it was? This photo and the ones in the above link are just beautiful. Love seeing your photographic talents!!!!!

It was suggested to me that the flower presentation is like equestris. And it is. The buds form 360 degrees around the spike. If that is the case, its not a Ho's Dreamy Jade. Probably no way to know for certain.

Thanks! I use the very sophisticated... take 1000 pictures and hope for 1 that doesn't suck method. It takes many years of study and practice.

Yea, right.... that might fly if you were addressing someone else.... but you know I'm an old Nikon guy and I've been there and done at least 1000 shots for one good one! You're just being modest... 'cause you are very talented with the lens!

Yes indeed, that is a goregeous orchid. And, your photography is superb as well.

From what I've seen so far, I like novelty phals. Do you have a "go to source" for these orchids, Ben?

Most of my plants came from Big Leaf, but a few came from other sources like Orchidview, Norman's, amd directly from Joy Orchids.
