That's a great Phal! The stripping looks most like fasciata to me, but there are so many species out there that I really couldn't be sure. Plus there's all the crossing and recrossing.

Rosie, I know what you mean about needing a stripey phal. Once I find the space and get an orchid budget saved up again, I'm getting a fasciata! Of course there are so many wonderful stripeys to choose from!

Actually you are half right. This is a primary hybrid between fasciata and amboinensis.

I didn't mean that fasciata was the only parent, but I was pretty sure it was one of the parents.

Oh, I didn't think you meant it was only fasciata. Its a good thing you recognized that. I'm very into novelty Phals and I'm not always good about picking that kinda thing out.
