Default New Phals arrived today!

I ordered Dtps. I-Hsin Ice Coke, Dtps. Rong Guan Mary, and Phal. philippinensis. Philippinensis is in another thread in the Species forum. I was so thrilled when I unearthed these magnificently grown plants from Orchidaceae, Inc.!! All of them are several inches bigger across than what was listed, and they are all super healthy with amazing roots and leaves. The two Dtps. are also in spike!! I'm going to have flowers to comfort me in the harsh eastern Washington winter! (although I do hope that some of my other orchids will bloom this winter or spring too. )

The last picture is of Phal. Sogo Yuukidian 'V3' which I was contemplating buying from the same source, but Naoki was so extremely kind enough to send me hers (you thought you might kill it if you didn't get rid of it, but I still appreciate that you went to the trouble and expense of mailing it to me!)

In order: Ice Coke, Rong Guan Mary, and Sogo Yuukidian 'V3'. Sorry for so many pics, but I just couldn't help showing every little detail!

I just opened up a box form Orchidaceae, Inc. also. Plants were supper, lots of roots and 2 were in spike also. My only issue is that one large leaf is broken. It looks like it got broken while packing them up. Dont have camera right now to take pictures, wife is taking pixs of new Grandbaby

Otherwise, I suggest all to check out their plant sale, 3 for $50 shipped.

Hi Evan

Thanks for sharing your new orchids. I especially like the second photo. It could be used as an example of a healthy spiking Phal. for your next lecture.

Nice looking phals you got, Evan! I am glad that the plant arrived safely. Be sure to post the pictures when they bloom.

Thanks for the nice comments everybody!

Naoki, just try to STOP me from posting pics of the blooms! I'll probably take a dozen of each plant!

Thanks Maria! I think that would be my FIRST lecture. lol. Wouldn't THAT be a dream job. Being PAID to talk about orchids all day!

Lovely healthy plants, and with spikes, too. I love Orchidacea. Their plants are big and healthy, and they include a nice big standard-size bonus plant with their orders (Not this $50 special), but at their ordinary prices.

I couldn't recommend it more highly.

I didn't know about the bonus with regular orders! That would make it worth it for me to order at regular prices, too! (well, once I save up my orchid fund again, and get more space, and convince my parents that there's still room in the house for more plants, and....ahh that list is depressing! ) Speaking of living with my parents, when I'm out of school, I hope I will be able to find a place that will accomodate my orchids!

Oh well. I think my collection more than doubled in size in the last year (I'm up to 26 orchids now), so I can hold off for a while and enjoy my new and recently acquired plants. Some of them are young/rescue plants, so they will hold my attention after my mature/healthy ones bloom for the first time for me.

Sorry, a little off track. SO glad I ordered from Orchidaceae, Inc.!

Thanks for the little tidbit about bonus plants, Mehitabel! I'll be filing that info away for the future!
