Default Phalaenopsis in Bloom :)

This beautiful phalaenopsis, which I have had since 2002, is blooming!

Luckily, this is the only one of my phals which appears to be resistant to the cell collapse which killed my other phals . Anyways, it was neglected for a few years, but after two years of growing new healthy roots in a clear pot, the new blooms are almost double the size of flowers when I bought it!

I have seen this types of phals around the forum many times, but I can't remember the name...

... oh and I am very pleased with my staking skills; look how straight the stem is! lol

It's beautiful, looks like a Baldan's Kaleidoscope. I am impressed with your staking skills --I can never get them that straight

Thats the one I was thinking of. It most probably is... I won't know for sure, but I guess I can refer to it as that.

Thank you! The first time my phals re-flowered about five years ago, I thought they would go straight up automatically.

I guess you were surprised! I have a small Brother Sandra Splash that bloomed the first time this year, it sent up 3 spikes and for the fun of it, I left it "natural"--it's kind of cool, but takes up a bit more space on the shelf.
