It's just a baby! I've seen adult giganteas with leaves close to 15 cm WIDE! Yes, keep it happy, properly watered and fertilized, and it'll grow good roots, which, as far as I'm concerned, are the key to the plant as a whole. I look forward to when you're able to post pics of your flowers from this plant!

I noticed with Phalaenopsis species in general, they do not like cultural conditions to change, so when you water try to put the plant back where it was with the same orientation or it may continually stall. Once it gets some size, a leafspan of around 30cm give it more light. I have two growing in cattleya light levels with leafspans of around 45cm and still no flowering yet! I have less than ideal night temps though, dropping into the 50s here in winter. Definately keep the crown dry!

Thanks for the suggestions for my phal. I am waiting for a veranda with better lighting, which should be up and runnung in January. I just hope it'll keep happy until then. I'll try and do as you suggest. It's on a window ledge with lots of light
