Default Phal Papayago/Phal Chiada Francis 'Picotee'.

Finally in full bloom. Bought in Feb of 2021 in bloom from a local hardware chain. There has been a few comments on the board about the name. See link below.
I've been told its trade name Phal Papayago but also sells as a registered Phal Chiada Francis 'Picotee'.
Camille took a look into its parentage and found a question over its patent and also its parents depending on where you look for information.
Regardless they are pretty blooms.

howdy!

yeah, what's in a name??! it gets to be cumbersome, the naming thing i mean. while i have no insite into the history here, i can only offer that we here in germany have bought phals labeled as magic art that are similar to your flowers and see many posts in various places using that name. however, last year we also bought a flask of hybrids with francis pico sweetheart as a parent, and the pictures also look similar to magic art.

so, don't know, but we would like to learn along with you!!

It's striping reminds me of a streptocarpus that I've had for like 20 years, 'Art Shades'. Very pretty.

another cool hybrid with picotee marking is phal ‘dragon heart’.

you definitely can read about the history of where this “style” of flower came from, and i should prolly go back and do just that....
