Secondary spike or keiki?
Default Secondary spike or keiki?

Well, that's pretty much it. I found this sprout on my phal spike. Mind you, the main spike flowers are recent and there's still one bud developing, so it's not like it were a spent spike that I cut above the node... Maybe it's too soon to know, but if you do know, please let me know

not unusual for a second spike to grow shortly after flowering. They (phal hybrids) can really bloom all year long in special varieties. With good care the older they get the better the display gets over time too.

Congrats

Too soon to know. I can see there's something growing there, but as small as it is, and within the limitations of the photo, I wouldn't want to guess. You'll just have to be patient.

Thank you b oth for your answers. I understand it is still too soon to be sure. I am still checking on it, but I don't see any giveaway. I also have another phal with two sprouts on its spike. For some reason I feel it's flowers but it is also too soon to tell. I will keep you posted.

Happy holidays,

Stan
