Default Should I cut off dying buds?

Greetings! I've had my first phal. for about a month now. When I bought her she had 1 full bloom and about 10 small buds and 2 or 3 large poufy buds. Over the past few days, a couple of the tiny buds are turning pinkish/red and look shriveled. Should I cut them off or let them fall naturally? We've had some drastically fluctuating temps over the past couple weeks (50s one day, 80 the next!). The leaves look fairly good-light to medium green, not real bright green though. She's in a west facing window and it has been very cloudy lately as well. Do I really need to move her to a south facing window? Also the very tips of the stem where there are a few clusters of new buds are sort of purplish as opposed to green, like the rest of the stem. Is this normal?
Thanks in advance for any advice!!

heyhey, welcome to the world of growing orchids, haha.

i normally just leave them and when they fall off, then they do. in nature, no one comes around with a pair of scissors--if u get my drift.

if itz light to medium green, i would say just leave it where it is, u'd move it if it was dark green or bluish in hue.

as for the last question you have... i really cant say much without a picture.

take a few pics and post them into the reply, it will help us all ^^

good luck

Hmmm... about the 'purplish' colour, I find the tips of my phal's spike look that way when they are growing (well the phals that have pink./purple in theit flowers) My steps then are more of a reddish- green.
