Default mannii pics, lip detail ...

This is a seedling purchased over one year ago. It has grown well and is in flower for the first time. It has good color and the potential for great shape. However, in this photograph the flower is heavily cupped, and I do not anticipate it flattening out any. Therefore, I composed the photographs as it is now and if it does indeed flatten out over the next day or two; I will shoot it again, and post hear. The color is good, however, I was not expecting this verity when I purchase the plant.

Thanks for the complement, you be the judge ... I did a good job capturing the color and it is quite dark. I would stop short of calling it 'black'!

OMG! I love this one! The color combo is fantastic, only a TINY jump away from black! I would call it very berry, super black cherry!

This has got to be a better variety than what you were expecting!

It's delightful AND marvelous.

Maybe this photograph has a slightly better view of the dark color. The picture is slightly over exposed.
It is a very dark maroon or purple, color!

That is Super!! I think it will flatten out for you in a few days. If not, it's still astounding!

Hi, fxphals. The color on that mannii is beautiful to my eye, very striking.

I had no idea manniis came in that color. Would you mind telling where you got the seedling?

The lip hairs-- I've only seen those on one other phal. Fascinating.

Just came back to droool. . .wow, I love this one!

Would this be a "better" form of this variety if it were flatter? The cupping just doesn't bother me a bit. . .
