Need suggestion for LED light setting Male
Default Need suggestion for LED light setting

Hello everyone

I live in south-east, TX
I need some suggestion for the setting in my room for growing orchids
I recently just finished this but I kinda wondering if they are good for my plants.

Each panel I use is 2ft x 4 ft so the total area would be 16 square feet. I'm using 2 x LED Full Cycle Grow Light to cover the area.

Blue (400-499nm) 19.46%
Green (500-599nm) 37.70%
Red (600-699nm) 36.23%
Far Red (700-780nm) 6.61%
PPF 18.74μmol/s

Wattage: 15W
Input Voltage: 90-246VAC
Power Factor: >0.9
IP Rating: IP20
Lumen Flux: 1050lm
Light Holder:E26
Optics: 600
Materials: Ceramic + PC

I arrange those plants by the demand of light they need so I hang seidenfidenia mitrata, angraecoid and brassavola hybrids on the top then follow by phal schill and amabilis, lastly, angraecum distichum and aerangis citrata x (stylosa x articulata) at the last row.

I have humidity trays with clay pebbles underneath the panel to increase the humidity.

potted plants on the bench, I move them to the window sill during the day time and at night I leave them there until I turn off the growing light.

I'm an orchid newbie so any suggestion will be good, thks

Nice setup!

You will get tired of moving plants every day. I suggest you move the growing area to the window, and figure out a way to give them natural light plus supplemental electric light, if needed.

Do you have any space outdoors for growing? The Brassavola hybrids would probably be fine outdoors most of the year if it is not near freezing.

I would probably put the Phals on the bottom, because I think they need less light than the others. But more experienced Phal growers will probably post suggestions.

Thks for the suggestion
I do have some spaces outside and in the sun porch
I’ll start putting them out slowly when it gets warmer.
