Default Help with bulb choice

I just bought a grow light/stand. it has 2 levels, each with it's own ballast supported by chains so the height of each ballast is adjustable. Each ballast holds 4 bulbs.

I choose the GE Flourescent sunchine f32
2800 lumens
5000 k

My question is, Is this a good bulb setup for growing Phals. I am a newbie.

I can't help you out with your questions, other than bump your post! I wonder where all the light experts are?

On vacation in Istanbul Turkey though I am not an expert....

I would say it is a good setup! Even though I have not seen the spectral responce for that particular lamp.

thanks, here is a pic of the setup.

Working on my collection. I have 8 plants around the house and subscribed to an orchid club where they send on a month. Currently using as a nusery for suffering plants.

Plants look healthy!
A little red taint on the top shelf but nothing to worry about! If the top leafs turn sickly yellowish they get to much light but but I can´t imagine that you should have that problem with your setup.
