Question Question about types of fixtures for light carts

I have a standard 48" light cart like this one:

Indoor Gardening Supplies

I have two two-bulb fixtures and one 4 blub fixture at present, with standard full specturm flourescent bulbs. What I'd like to know is if there are T5 fixtures that fit the stand, i.e. that have the slide attachments on the end. I haven't been able to locate any. Alternately, is there anyone that sells the slide attachments separately so that a half-way competant person with a power drill could install them?

Most of the t5 fixtures I am familiar with will adapt (maybe with a bit of ingenuity) to your cart. Try this site New Wave T5 Light, New Wave Florescent Grow Light, New Wave Fluorescent Growing Light, New Wave High Output T5 Lighting, Low Profile New Wave Grow Lights I will personally vouch for them. I have several of their New Wave fixtures and they are fantastic. It shouldn't be too hard to retrofit the fittings from your old fixtures over to these.

Edit: As I looked at the link again, I can see a couple ways to retrofit the New Wave fixtures using plain galvanized chain. That's what I am using for my new indoor vegetable area If you look close, you can see the chain. The hangers can easily be adapted to fit the shelves of your cart.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
