Talking Using DynaRok as a planting medium

all, I have a bag of DynaRok and was planning on using it for one of my wet growing Phrags. Does anyone know if you need to rehydrate the little "rocks" before using? My guess is you do, but I don't know for a fact.

I have one Cattleya growing in it and it's doing well. I don't think you have to soak it first for hydration...it's very pourous but, I'd recommend soaking in water with a little dishsoap or Pysan 20, first to wash off the excess dust that they are great at accumulating. I love watering this one because when dry and water added, the rocks make a sizzling sound.

I have a couple of phrag and paph's that are growing in dynarock and they seem to do just fine . Just wash the dust off the dynarock and plant away.
