misting device - this one worth it?

Right now I grow a few paphs and mostly species phals. I would like to try to bump up the humidity to 55% - 70% and I need to do something extra than misting & having the plants sit above water.

I found this mister on Orchid Web, but I don't really know if its very effective or not.

Does anyone know if this mister is worth it?

Not for me. I have one you can have for just the shipping! It sucks! (Sorry!) It is totally worthless to me. I use the MistKing model (Marty is OrchidBoard host) and have had no problems at all. I highly recommend it over the one you ask about.

I would prefer something like Marty's system but my grow area is fairly small and on 3 sides I have plastic sheeting with the weight of dry cleaning bags to try to bump up the humidity. I am afraid if I put the misting nozzle in, I would spray all over the living room.


This seemed like a good possibility. If you are sure about sending it to me, then by all means let me know the shipping charges and perhaps I will take it off your hands.

By the way, do you or anyone think maybe I could use Marty's nozzle system in my set up? I really would only need one nozzle. Its possible that I may get a 2 tiered grow area or maybe get a decent sized terrirrum but thats a while from now.
