Exclamation Full Spectrum Solutions

Anyone exprimented with the Full Spectrum Lamp (CF) from Full Spectrum Solutions? I have 2 that I am setting up and so far I am impressed. They are the 55 watt CF bulbs that replace a 250 watt incandescent. After the 20 minute burn-in, I couldn't look at the bulb without skwinting! I am talking bright! And they are rated at 3500 lumens. I am setting up 2 of these bad-boys just inside my windows to simulate full sunlight. We'll see how we do.

Where do you get these and how much monies cashies do they set you back? You've peaked my interest.
Oh and how mush heat do they set off? Heat is a very important issue for me.

I got mine from Full Spectrum Solutions on web at $26 each. Rated at 10,000 hours. I put them on a timer for 12on and 12 off and supplemented a dark corner with a 37 watt 5500K CF bulb. That one is for 3-4 shade-loving mini's. No discernable heat. Temps run approx 5 degrees warmer near lights than elsewhere in the bay window. Don't plan to run them when we get sunn - just the dim days of winter.

Those look interesting, but we have to keep in mind that energy is energy.

While a 55W CFL appears to put out a LOT more light than the same wattage incandescent, the PAR is more or less the same.
