Default Big Orchidarium Complete! (Almost)

Finally got everything in place, humidifier, lights, and everybody hanging, swaying happily in the sun. It's 4'x4'x2' and is powered by 2x250w Metal Halides.

Wow! Great job! Are you growing some of your plants in water? What ever you are doing it sure is working. The only problem I see is that you are going to run out of room and will need to make a few more.

I'm just soaking the Vandas, the "glass vase" method, helps them grow wonderfully. They soak for half an hour a day roughly.

You can see the space I moved out of (the smaller tank in the second picture). I should have quite a bit of room for growth, just about as big as I'd want to get without a greenhouse or dedicated room for them.

That took me months to build, and only with the help of my wife did I get this far!

Thanks, It's their first full day in the new tank. I'm going to try and not fill it up too much, or the plants below, paphs etc... may not get enough light... slowly, patience, patience... ok, just one or two new ones

Can you box it up and send it to Michigan? That is exactly what I need. You did a wonderful job creating it.
