RoyalOrchids hit the nail on the head. I live about 3 miles from the coast on the Monterey Bay in California. As the crow flies 50 miles south of the San Fransisco Bay.

Hello all,
I figured I'd join in seeing as how all my old Orchid Board friends are on this thread too. Most of my orchids are mounted, but they are mounted onto the background of my terrariums. Here is a picture of my latest mount. This is Phalaenopsis Mini Mark 'Holmes' which I recieved 2 years ago this September. It never attached itself to the wood mount until now. I would not say it is firmly attached, but its getting there. Its also in spike for the first time since I got it.

They all look so pretty in the mounts. So far the only one that I've got mounted is C. amethystoglossa but I think that I might have to pot it once the pseudobulbs start growing as long as they get. anyways they all look really happy and natural.

Hello again,

Here is my Bulbophyllum alagense 'large form' which I recieved about a year ago or so, don't really remember, its just feels like a year ago or so. This one I would call firmly attached. It has put on all the growth you see with leaves and the roots in the last few months. Those are millimeters for reference.
