Default Sticks with coco fiber - Suitable for a Catt mount?

Hello, my friends

I think the title says it all...
Here's a photo.
They're cheap and come in several sizes (lenght and dia).

Why not? The coco fiber probably won't last more than a year or two if it's constantly wet, but it will be interesting to see what happens.

I suspect most small Cattleyas won't climb enough of the pole before the materials go bad and need to be discarded.

The fiber material, cut.loose from the pole, could be used as a pad around roots to secure a plant to another type of mount.
