After doing the mount for my friend; I truly loved it. So I mounted the new orchid the lady gave me. Its growing new roots and a new leaf. Though I have one question; does anyone know a better way of keeping moss on the roots or wood? Do I just use a lot of string?

That's really nice. It reminds me of my ceramic log mounts that look similar but I can't get them anymore. This would be a very nice alternative. As far as I know you just have to tie the moss and sometimes some roots with thin wire, fishing line, or dental floss or something till the roots establish and take hold.

Thank you. I wish I knew how to preserve the wood so it can last long. But it'll do. Thank you; I'll defiantly try that!

That's what I like to use. I figured the hard wood would help it to last longer. And it looks very nice.

Very eye-catching and when she blooms you must post fotos! I've only mounted small plants but others advice sounds good.Maybe something like a ladies stocking material would give more support.Sure you'll get lots more appropriate suggestions tho.
