Some of my mounted orchids(mostly Aus natives)
Thought I'd share a few of my mounted orchids, this is probably about 1/3 of my currently mounted collection, currently they are hanging on my wire doors under my back patio while a lot of my others are on rocks and I have some hanging on the patio itself which I might take photos of another time.

Wow, that's quite a collection. I'm only just getting started with mounts. Any secrets to chare? So far, I'm doing OK.

No real secrets, just plenty of water, every second watering is with seaweed extract and every few months I tuck a couple of pellets of dynamic lifter behind the moss up high on the mount. I started this fertilising regime about six months ago and have seen a huge increase in growth and overall plant health so they are obviously liking it. Even got a few flowers this season on a plant I'd never been able to flower before.

haha, sounds like maybe I found something that isn't over there, usually it's the other way around  Dynamic Lifter is a manure based organic fertiliser, smalls pretty bad until you water it in but the plants seem to love it. I just tuck a couple of pellets in and they dissolve slowly that way so they turn into almost like a slow release fertiliser. |
