Talking Four New Mounts:

Hi everyone.

Have been busy putting up mounts before Fall and winter hits.

Here they are, all mounted on Teak wood pieces purchased from RF Orchids:

~This is my Cattleya schilleriana var. sanderiana. I bought this one back in July 2008, and actually un-mounted it as I thought it would do better potted. It's not done much of anything, and I hope it likes its new home:

~This is my Cattleya alcandiae var. nigrescens. I recently purchased this in July 2009, and it already put out a new growth. It's teeny tiny and I'm hoping it likes living on its Teak wood mount. I hope it gives me dark blooms:

~This one is my Laelia anceps var. guerrero (Chilapensis). I just bought this one from Cal Orchids and it's smaller than I thought a Laelia anceps would be. I love the guerreros. The mount is actually quite large, something you really can't get from the pictures:

~Finally, here is my Schomburgkia albopurpurea. I bought this one from a private seller who posted a classified ad on OrchidMall. I fell in love with the white blooms, and of course, its tiny size. The pseudobulbs are very small, and twist and turn every which way, which, upon reflection, seemed perfect for mounting. The entire plant actually fits in the palm of my hand, to give you an idea of its size. Again, this is on a Teak wood piece purchased from RF Orchids:
