Default Two new broms!

I got these 2 little cuties at a local plant sale this past weekend. They were only $3 each. I mounted them on a treefern slab with just a tiny bit of moss for padding.

The first one is the most beautiful pink and it bloomed the day after I got it! Tillandsia 'Victoria'.

The second one is Tillandsia stricta (Brazil). I was told it would have pink flowers.

I didn't get the guy's name but he said he would be at the Redlands show next weekend. He had a lot of species broms and staghorns and a few species orchids. Some really different stuff!

Tillandsia stricta has pink bracts and purple flowers. Upon first emerging, the bracts look like a pink pinecone.

Oh, and if you like Tillandsias, I recommend checking out Rainforest Flora (Rainforest Flora, Inc., Tillandsia Air Plant and Bromeliad Grower).

Awesome! Thanks.

What a great site. I have a lot of untagged broms and staghorns. The pictures are great and may help me with an identification!
