Default Dynamite/Nutricote for mounts

Has anyone used the fertilizer "dyanmite" (also called nutricote) on their mounted orchids? Its a slwo release fertilizer that people have had success with, but I haven't found any reports of using it on mounts. I am think I might put a couple pellets between the moss and the wood. Thoughts? Horror stories?

I have seen one grower that put slow release fert in pieces of panty hose and tied at the top of his mount and when he watered He said it caused the fert to drain down to the plant, Not a show piece but when he takes it to shows he can remove the hose.
