Lepanthes calodichtyon on my nanoviv...
I was a bit worried in the beginning, but my Lepanthes thrives.
Essential is to put the orchid you want on the right height.
It is different humidity on different hight´s on a nanoviv.
2" is very different for your little darlings dependig on what they need.

It is a ceramic tube with water in and miniorchids and other plants on it.
Actually some plants grows inside close to the edge...

My friend has something like this, using a terra cotta wine cooler (basically a vase-shaped cylinder with a bottom); you would soak it in water then put your chilled wine bottle into it to keep it cool. His is much better used, with some miniatures growing on the outside.
Do you keep it filled with water? It also looks like you have the terra cotta mount enclosed in a larger glass container - true? Is Sweden low in humidity?
A girl in my orchid society bought something called an upside-down planter and tried some mini-catts on it (they didn't do so well, I think); this was something like a large clay jug, hung from the narrower neck, with the plants attached to the outside and the jug kept filled with water. IMO, kind of a marketing trick rather than a good growing idea, but it would be spectacular covered with blooming plants.
I will have to add the word 'nanoviv' to my repertoire!

About humidity=true
The ghlass container is plastic with a little fan providing airmovement and a little vent hole.
The clay tube has no bottom so i glued it on a plastic plate.
Bad idea it was, because of plastic moves a lot more than clay in different teperature.
So the clay tube stands in about 3-4 cm water and that works equally well.
The tube is providing liferoom to a lot of minis icluding Laelia liliputana Isabelias schoenorchis lepanthes and some more orchids...

That is simply amazing. I'm just not clear on the placement of the fan? Where exactly is it?
Would you mind taking a few photos of the mechanics of your nanoviv?
