Project Phoenix Male
Default Project Phoenix

First part was "My Siberian Tropics" My Siberian Tropics
Second part was "Siberian Outdoor Tropics in Greenhouse"Siberian Outdoor Tropics in Greenhouse

Three years ago all my orchids died in the sunny crematorium of the greenhouse on the south balcony. Now I decided to grow orchids again, but now on the northern balcony. It is the Project Phoenix.
In the Project Phoenix I used very nice modular pot. I took 10 modular pots for 20 orchids and assembled them into this construction. Now I'll try to grow orchids in S/H, all of them. And I will have only 20 plants, no one more.

My orchids have bright sun from 4:00 A.M. till 7:00 A.M. in every sunny morning, and bright shadow from 5:30 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. every evening.

I watering them manually every 4-5 days.

Today I looked my Paphiopedilumes. They are like in hibernation, havn't no one change during month. I extracted them from expanded clay substrate and found new growths and big light roots. Then I repoted them back.

Some of your pictures do not show. But it looks like your plan is working successfully from what I can see. Congratulations!

I am a little surprised that your cattleya is doing so well. I was thinking that there wouldn't be enough light for cattleyas. Have you had any blooms yet?
