well, I thought I might be able to actually get in and start something, but the weather report for this weekend has 2 nights of mid to high 30's for us, so...its a waiting game, LOL

I did finish the last of the greenhouse pressure washing today, though, so at least I don't have that chore hanging over my head

You have to be aware of two requirements for the pump for your project (pardon me if you already know this): 1) For a waterfall to look like anything, it takes a large flow rate. 2) For a waterfall that high it takes a pump that generates a large head. You can learn about pumps on lily pond sites such as Lilypons Water Gardens for example.

Well, I have done a bit o' research on the pumps. I can't have anything too extreme, or it will blast out the surrounding area and create an algal slime on the lexan wall. Don't want a whole lot of overspray, just want it to drop....straight down.

Default Got started today!

Well, I started prepping the space today. I removed some of the bromeliads and threw them into a holding tub, and took out the big Princess Victoria plumeria (that was a job...I still have 4 nice cuttings that can be taken off this plant...if interested please answer my classified for a trade!)

I still probably may have to remove this calathea too, before it gets REALLY big. Anyone interested in trading for it? Its a nice one. I think its C. ornata, I'd have to look.

The space is ready to either dig the underground chamber for the pondless waterfall resevoir, or, my newest idea...to set a beautiful weathered stone basin ABOVE ground and use that as the receptacle for a scaled down version of the dropfall.

Wow! You have done a lot lately. I'm jealous . Even your dirt looks good. We have very poor soil where I live. Both water feature ideas sound nice. The second one sounds like it could be easier to maintain. Send more pictures when you decide!

I will have a 3 tier rock fountain in my greenhouse that will eventually be covered with plants. But I have to wait for it to be delivered. The foundation is in and I can envision what I am going to put where.
