Do you have a heater in your greenhouse? If you do, then check for heat loss and seal it well. If you don't, then get one...

With the high cost of propane I am considering moving mine back to the indoor grow area anyway part of them, and reducing the green house temperatures , something to be said for growing Cymbids. and other cool growers . Gin

The cost of heat in the winter is exactly why I tend to grow intermediate to cool plants. In my conditions, it's much easier to cool in the summer anyway. Trying to grow plants that don't fit your conditions will not work over the long run.

The February 1990 AOS Bulletin had an article entitled 'Backyard Cloud Forest' which detailed how one person was able to grow an amazing variety of orchids in much cooler than expected conditions. I'll try to dig out my copy - but if anyone else has back issues, it might be worth a look.

I do have a heater, but my insulation leaves something to be desired...
I would love to see that article. I know that my poor little plants would do much better in a warmer/more suitable environment, but I am always surprised at how much abuse plants can take.
I am going to evaluate any damage, bring in the last vanda, and a few babies and go from there. At least I don't have to worry too much about freezes where we are. (fingers crossed)
