Ouch... that's hot. Phals should like that but I'm not sure about others. Cooling this thing has become one of my concerns in light of the recent weather. I'm anxious to see how well shadecloth combined with the extractor fan/vent system does. The previous owner had an evaporative cooler that looks much like a standard 20" box fan. I haven't plugged it in to see if it works yet. I finished the three sides yesterday and started laying out the remaining pieces so my son and I can get the roof on this afternoon. Biggest pain so far has been washing all of the panels since I want to remove all the traces of moss and alge (wrong spelling but I'm not too far into my first cup of coffee to think about correcting it.)

I'm going to take some pics of the construction so far. Maybe post them later.

Try physan 20 for the algae.

I would like to comment on the heat. I have a fan for my greenhouse/shade house. In Fl, I have decided to make a convertible. In the summer, it is a shadehouse. In winter, a greenhouse. I will use clear plastic to cover the shadehouse.

About the heat. I have an exhaust fan wired up with a thermostat. It is actually an attic fan, so it came prewired. I do not plan to use it in the summer, so I set the temp to 110 degrees thinking it would never kick on. Guess what? I have it set to 115 now and all is well.
95-98? That's cute.

I love your set up!! That is my dream greenhouse Unfortunately I think that it will remain a dream seeing as winter temps at my place in France are just too low. Every winter we have few weeks below 20°F, with some days as low as -10°F!!! Talk about a major heating bill. Maybe I should move back to Virginia....

So enjoy your greenhouse, you lucky dog!
