Izzie. Listerine works too? I've never heard of that! It's a very interesting and good thing to know! Thanks for sharing that!

Yup, Listerine is great for mold! Most people stick with the original brown version, to stay away from the extra additives in the others.

When I got back into orchids after being away for many years, I ended up going for tiny ones. At home, I have more than 20 plants in a 30 gallon terrarium.
I have a little greenhouse space, too. That's where I'm growing about 20 minicats. I won't have the greenhouse space forever - they'll end up under lights in the winter and outside in a shade box in the summer. Ain't it fun?

cym lady- outside in winter is definitely not an option.

the mold issue, would be for the room that the orchids would be in, notnecessarily for the media and such. i cant dip the whole room in listerine. lol :D

yesterday at my first orchid society meeting, a very nice man named bill anderson, i think ive talked about him on ob before, said he used to grow in his basement before he got a greenhouse. he said i would have all his light, which would be more than enough to grow my chids.

so that is the route im heading!!
