When I got back into orchids after being away for many years, I ended up going for tiny ones. At home, I have more than 20 plants in a 30 gallon terrarium.
I have a little greenhouse space, too. That's where I'm growing about 20 minicats. I won't have the greenhouse space forever - they'll end up under lights in the winter and outside in a shade box in the summer. Ain't it fun? |
cym lady- outside in winter is definitely not an option.
the mold issue, would be for the room that the orchids would be in, notnecessarily for the media and such. i cant dip the whole room in listerine. lol :D yesterday at my first orchid society meeting, a very nice man named bill anderson, i think ive talked about him on ob before, said he used to grow in his basement before he got a greenhouse. he said i would have all his light, which would be more than enough to grow my chids. so that is the route im heading!! |
