Default color for tile

Good ideas guys! I never even considered what would go with the brick. We were going to go either dark coffee or very light color, maybe white. DH would feel better if there were some color in it. I love the idea of a colorful border and beige. I will suggest this to him. Seems like this project is going on forever but DH does it in his spare time left over from working. I am the holder of tools and hold up glass while he straps it in etc. Carol

Carol, while tile will look great, how will that work out for high humidity areas and the grout as far as mildew and molds go? I know tile is used in bathrooms alot, but generally that is a small area of tile and the area is able to handle harsh chemicals for cleaning. Have you thought about something like FRP? Just tossing ideas around is all. If you are set on tile, I wouldn't blame you, it will look beautiful! Just remember, the lighter the color, the more dirt will show unless it is a tan or beige color. Can't wait to see what you pick out!

Great greenhouse and I think you did the right thing as a addition and not stand alone. It also really looks like it belongs there. By the way I lived on the central Oregon coast for some years and for a short time in Portland. I have been to the Rogue valley and Ashland many times. Beautiful area, Beautiful state.

DH will not be talked out of the tile. So I announced I am not cleaning it. A girl has to protect herself. He says he is sealing it. I already clean 2 bathrooms. Not doing another one! It will be pretty though. Later, Carol

I'm with DH on this but I can also see your point.
Put the cleaning in a written contract!!!

Looking good, Carol! If I might suggest a large tile which will mean less grout and therefore less potential mould!!

Mirror tiles might help with reflectiing light at the back of plants, but would have to be sprayed with a demister to keep them clear of condensation.

It is gorgeous! I want one. My DH wants one too, but neither one of us has the time or energy for construction now, not to mention the funds. Next year?
