Question Humidifer Advice

I'm on a roll with the questions today!

I live in Arkansas where it's supposed to be hot and humid in the summers. But, since I builet the greenhouse, we're lucky to have 35%.

I have a fogging system but it's not enough on most days. So I'm looking at humidifiers/fogger type. I've seen some that show pictures of greenhouses that look like they are in a cloud forest. Dry fog.

But I just don't know what to believe. I don't want the orchids wet. But the foggy look would be great if it really works.

Suggestions?

Is the greenhouse's ground cement? I hear some people just spray water on the ground...

How often is your fogging system running? The underlying asphalt under pea gravel will sustain the heat keeping the area a bit dryer. Suggestively you might want to make a deeper layer of pea-gravel or "white" river rock (which retains moisture) and keep it relatively wet from mid-day on if your drop in humidity is around the heat of the day.

When I ran a greenhouse I used superfine nozzles from Texas Greenhouse Company. They fogged but didn't wet everything like lots of systems do. Texas Greenhouse Company, Inc.: Fog Systems I liked this system a lot and it was cheap to run.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
