Default No GH Fix since August 24th

Well here I sit in my lounge chair in the living room. I have been sitting here since last Friday. I haven't been to the greenhouse since the 23rd and boy do I miss it. I have a friend coming up to the house to open and close the green house. When my daughter was here while I was in the hospital she watered and took care of things. I am afraid that the orchids are not getting the tlc they need and are suffering. I had a total knee repelacement and I guess feeling a bit sorry for my self. Do you think they will survive? I know that some need to be watered every day like my project plant. My friend doesn't know a thing about orchids so I am worried.
Keep your fingers crossed.

Sheridan

Sheridan, I strongly feel orchids are tougher than we tend to be. Even if your friend just sloshes some water in the pots, they should be OK. Now, how are you doing?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Sheridan, wish I was close I would love to help. But, I agree with Ross, they are pretty tough otherwise I wouldn't have any. Take care!

Take care of yourself and be sure to do the therapy . The plants will be fine .. Hang in there you will feel like spending a lot of time in the GH. once healed. I have several friends that have had knee replacement , the therapy is what is important .. Gin

Oh Thank you all so much I had a little pity party here this morning....your comments help so much. Its hard when your a do it all type gal and now you can't to it all. I had an idea how hard this would be although there isn't much pain just the stretching muscles. It feels like they are on fire. I have been getting around the house with a walker and putting full weight on that knee with no trouble. I go to the doctors on Friday to have the stitches out and the dressing taken off that will help mobilize the knee better.

I am having GH withdrawals I did have some orchids getting ready to bloom and hope they are still blooming when I get up there. Everyone of you Ross, Rosie C, Harrywitmore and Gin each of you is a GEM

Thank You
Sheridan

Sheridan, take care of yourself first. Your chids are as tough as you are and I am sure they will be fine. I bet they will be happy to see you soon and bloom like crazy for you My Den. Aggregatum has spiked and bloom earlier in Spring, and spiking now(in the middle of summer), all just for you. Will share the pic when it blooms again. Thank you for all your advice. You take care.
