Default Greenhouse glass is all installed.

I finished installing all the glass in the little mini greenhouse this morning. Still have some work to do, install wood batten strips over the glass/frame joints and seal the glass to glass seams. Getting close now.

Ron

Old man winter is getting anxious, it's 41 this morning. The chids are getting anxious too, they want their new house finished.

Some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Very nice! How do plan to heat it? Very nice indeed!

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Thanks Ross.

My workshop right inside the door is heated so I'm going to borrow the heat from there by keeping the doors open. I'm doing a little experiment today to watch the temperature in the greenhouse with the shop thermostat set at 70 and outside temps about 40 with no sun. I will probably have to add a fan in real cold weather to steal more heat from the shop.

Thanks Camille.

Orchids? Oh yes.....right now I only have 8 but I imagine in the next few weeks the collection is going to grow. Then I'll wish I built a big greenhouse.

Ron

The orchid collection today.

Right now I'm using the paper spacers to space the glass panels apart just a little. I'll pull the paper out just before I apply silicone caulk to the joints and hopefully a little will squeeze into the joints.

The small wood blocks in the pictures are just a safety measure to keep the glass in place till I get the finished wood strips installed. There is a very sticky black glazing tape that actually holds the glass and seals around the edges. The tape really holds the glass and once you push it into contact there is no getting it free. I probably didn't need the little blocks, but I didn't want an Oops just in case.

Really nice looking space you have there. I know you'll enjoy it and so will your orchids!

Thanks Debs.

Finished a bench this afternoon and tomorrow it's a few more details to finish up. Maybe by the weekend it will be ready.
