Default pressure treated wood

I will be replacing my much loved but rotting wood greenhouse. In the past some treated wood was toxic to orchids due to out gassing of the treatment products. The cost of an aluminum framed polycarbonate is out of my budget. Does anyone have information on the safety of some of the new treatment processed wood for an orchid house?
thanks, DeAnne

While I have not personal knowledge of the current standards for treating impregnated wood, I believe things have changed with regard to the chemicals used in the pressure treatment process. Last year I purchased a very nice GH kit through Costco (SunGlo Greenhouses). The kit was an 8 x 12 and included a ton of major good stuff! I then enlarged it directly from the manufacturer to 8 x 15. Because of my specific application I built it up on a wall using treated lumber and installed a lumber treated floor. I'm a year into this thing and all is well with the chids as the pics tell the whole story!

What are you hiding under the benches?

Doc.. Is that a small gas heater in the center? I would love some information about it if it is. Your plants are beautiful.

Costco sells GH online. If you enter greenhouses in their search, you'll see several different brands on sale, one of which is made by Sun Glo Greenhouses. I have all the larger stuff under the benches like the cybidiums and succulents and just the odds and ends. Where is your son's GH located....aren't you in Michigan, Marilyn? The heater is a natural gas 15000 BTu heater with a thermostatically controlled fan. It is available as LP model and a 20000 BTu and I think 30000 BTu. Both Lowes and Home Depot sell them in the fall. My GH came with an electic 15000 BTu heater (Red box in the pic) that I use as a backup. Thanks for asking
