First flowering of a reed vine plant. Vines are 1 to 2 metre long and thick (about 8 mm) and then changes to an inflorescence terminated with a group of crimson flowers. Original keiki mounted on a 6 X 2 inch slab. Had it for 8 years producing small, thin vines no more than 1 metre and no flowers.
I was told it was from Africa, but looks to me to be an Epidendrum from the Americas.
