Our Local Orchid Society Newcomer Meetings are a great place to get new plants, as donations are always coming in. Well, I picked up a monster of an oncidium (type unknown) and it really wanted to be 7 plants. It had overgrown the plastic pot it was in... grown roots throughout the clay pot it was put in for stabilization... and continued to grow outside of the clay pot for an extra 5-6" in any direction.
I don't have a greenhouse, so I don't exactly want 7 of the exact same plant. I'm looking to trade for something I don't have, a fairly succinct idea of what I have is listed in my profile. It's not necessarily the most up-to-date, but it is a good idea of what I've got. I absolutely love Oncidiums (though not quite as much as this plant wants me to love it), I get along well with mini and medi Cattleyas and I've recently fallen in love with Zygopetalums. If anyone is interested, I'd love to set up some friends to make repeated trades with. I have a couple plants that will be ready to divide in the near future (and for those I will have pictures of the blooms, etc.).
