This is one of the many Nepenthes i grow in my greenhouse. I have three other clones of this hybrid grown from seed. This hybrid and many others i grow compliment well with orchids. This photo is a representation of the plant i am selling and the pitchers in produces. The one for sale is 6in across and is producing 3in pithchers. This hybrid can produce 9in-12in pitchers in the right conditions. Of course since you grow orchids they grow the same way. I like to use a mixture of one part cocohusk, one part perlite, and one part orchid mix. This plant will be shipped bare root in LFS, priority mail. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. Thanks for looking."G"

Hi all,

Our Local Orchid Society Newcomer Meetings are a great place to get new plants, as donations are always coming in. Well, I picked up a monster of an oncidium (type unknown) and it really wanted to be 7 plants. It had overgrown the plastic pot it was in... grown roots throughout the clay pot it was put in for stabilization... and continued to grow outside of the clay pot for an extra 5-6" in any direction.

I don't have a greenhouse, so I don't exactly want 7 of the exact same plant. I'm looking to trade for something I don't have, a fairly succinct idea of what I have is listed in my profile. It's not necessarily the most up-to-date, but it is a good idea of what I've got. I absolutely love Oncidiums (though not quite as much as this plant wants me to love it), I get along well with mini and medi Cattleyas and I've recently fallen in love with Zygopetalums. If anyone is interested, I'd love to set up some friends to make repeated trades with. I have a couple plants that will be ready to divide in the near future (and for those I will have pictures of the blooms, etc.).

I have two divisions up for grabs, and I also have pictures. The site wouldn't let me upload mine.

FOR SALE: Mounted or potted BS Dend. kingianum 'Betty'.

FRAGRANT!

All plants are in active growth with healthy roots and pseudobulbs. Siblings have bloomed. I expect these to bloom beginning Jan. 2010.

Easy culture! Plants have a compact growth habit and tolerate wide variations in temperature.

Photo of flowers by Troy Meyers © 2009 used with permission. See: http://troymeyers.com/direct/?0910656

The other pictures are samples of actual plants that are available for sale.

I have seen medium seedlings with 4 growths sell for about $20, so these are a great price!

I ship to anywhere in the continental US, except for Arizona. I take paypal and money orders. Actual postage is $5 for priority mail with free delivery confirmation.

Other orchids I have for sale you may be interested in:

catt. bowringiana
vanda tricolor
laelia purpurata var. venosa

I will fit as many orchids in one box as is safe, so no extra postage for additional purchases.

Any questions, please ask.

HAPPY GROWING!

Either of two superb specimens of Dendrobium spectabile in bloom. The plant on the left has 4 flower spikes and the one on the right has 5 spikes. Each has about 50 flower buds It is still early in the blooming season for these and more spikes are possible.

These are prime condition to ship without loss of flowers.

Rarely are these ever offered for sale in bud and even rarer are plants of multiple spikes. When these buds open the plant will live up to its name 'spectacular'.

Singe spike plants sell for more than this at major orchid shows. This special is offered to members of OrchidBoard.

The price is for one of the two plants your choice. Shipping is a max $15 for any orders from me, but actual shipping will probably be higher as these weigh about 8 pounds. Other orchids can be added to the order for no additional shipping.

Den. spectabile var. aureum offered here is a seed crossing of two yellow parents. The yellow form of spectabile is very rare. As with any seed crossing variations can occur. None of these have been large enough to flower but indications by leaf shape and size is that they are inheriting the characteristics of the parents. (leaves are thinner and plants are smaller) We are offering this rare color variation at standard seedling prices since they are not clones.

I have a sudden, urgent need to move most of my orchids on to new homes.

BLC Golden Tang - MANY growths, could try to count for you. Potted in 6" pot with bark. Needs to be repotted but would be best to ship first. Several new growths now. Previously bloomed, not as much red as I have seen on other plants. $15

BLC Penny's Spot 'Hawaiian Dream' - NBS to BS mini potted in bark. $8

The not so fine print (or where I try to clarify things):

PLEASE do NOT select the option that will close this ad unless you are committing to buy all the orchids listed.

I hope you find my prices fair and will consider offers, especially if more than one plant is purchased. Purchases of three or more plants will be rewarded with some sort of negotiated reduction in price.

Shipping will be figured out after selection and will be based on which plants are purchased. Larger plants may need to be shipped in their own box but I will ship how you wish them to be. I may add a little for complicated (time consuming) packaging. I will let you know in advance if I think that is required though.

I have a sudden, urgent need to move most of my orchids on to new homes.

Phal Yukimai Dream x King Cat Butterfly - Potted in bark in a nice ceramic orchid pot. Never bloomed. This is a big white flower based on the pictures I have seen. I can repot to a plastic pot if desired. $10 with ceramic pot, $5 with plastic pot.

Phal Sunrise Goldamore. potted in bark. Never bloomed. This is a cross of Brother Lawrence x Jewel Buena and should be a nice, clear yellow. $5

This is a fantastic book for any orchid lover. There are high quality pictures on every page, except the index and such of course. There are 640 pages so this is not a lightweight paperback. It includes information on 520 species and has 1270 color pictures. Keys are included for identification. This is a brand new hard back book that's never been opened (duplicate purchase).

The author is Pierre Delforge and is published by Timber Press. The list price is $39.95 and sells on Amazon for $26.37. You can Google the title and look up any other information you like on the book including some of the pictures.

The book will be sent by US Media Mail for $3.25 for a total of $21.25. This is a great gift for an orchid lover or just a gift to yourself.

This is a bloom-sized division of Cattleya intermedia var orlata in a 4" pot. A medium-large sized bifoliate that loves medium-high light....can even handle full sun, if introduced slowly. The first picture is of the blooms, which were taken this year. The second is the actual plant you will receive. I do not have heat packs, but will work with you to ship at a good time. If you would like Express Mail, let me know (this will obviously change the shipping price). Payment must be made via Paypal or money order.
