Default Dend. Oligophyllum-leaf loss & watering

This was in bloom in early June when I bought it. How will I know if leaf loss is natural or from over/under watering. Right now it is in leca in a plastic net basket.

The one in the original thread was mounted and looked very happy. You may want to do the same eventually. However, it would be best to wait until it goes dormant in the fall/winter (I suspect that it will), mount so that you catch the first flush of spring root growth. At this time of year, you should be keeping it well-watered. In its current environment you really can't over-water it, will dry out as fast as a mounted plant would.
