This species is a very reliable bloomer for me. It is so reliable that I guess that I take it for granted... it does deserve to be featured more, it puts on a lovely show every year.

I bought myself a birthday gift today at trader Joe's she's a dendrobium nobile she has many buds no blooms yet. It didn't really matter to me what they will look like. I've got 3 phals I really wanted to try a different species. I know nothing on dens. How different is the care with them vs phals? I do pretty good with my phals. Any advice? Please anyone send me your wisdom.

Birdbrain, go to the Dendrobium forum. At the top you'll see a sticky note explaining the different types and care instructions.
