Den Microchip
Default Den Microchip

A reliable bloomer with a lemony scent.

I have one of its parents, Den normanbyense which has a vanilla scent. Perhaps the lemony scent comes from its other parent, Den aberrans?

sorry I realized that I posted in the wrong section... I have no idea how to delete my post.

Nice display! Microchip is indeed a reliable bloomer.

I think you are not able to delete--maybe an admin will move it. Don't fret, we've all done it!

Microchip is one of the few Dends that will grow and bloom for me. It's an absolutely amazing hybrid for home growers and highly recommended. It doesn't have the most colorful blooms, but it makes up for that with floriferousness and charm.

The scent of yours must be very different than mine or else we have very different senses of smell. Mine has a complex aroma that's peppery (peppercorn) yet sweet. I don't really detect any strong citrus or lemony notes.

Dem Microchip has been on my wish list for a long time, and yours is gorgeous! Always a bonus when a plant turns out scented too. How long have you had it? It's quite large!

I'll move your thread to the correct section. Only mods/admins can move or delete threads.

Thanks for moving it to the correct place.

I have it sitting next to my citrus plants. Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me, haha. I'll try to analyze its smell more closely next time.

I've only had it for a year and a half. I bought it when it was already fairly large. As MrHappyRotter mentioned, it's a great hybrid - floriferous, compact, and easy to grow. Since old canes bloom repeatedly, the show gets only better year after year. Hope you get one soon.
