Here's the basics.

I grow this with my Masd. Wild Child (so some of you may have seen the whole terrarium pic before). It's a small Exo-Terra, 18x18x12''. It's about 7'', +/-, below two 60watt LED bulbs which rest on the top of the terrarium (top is homemade from plexiglass. I have mounted it on a piece of cork and rest it horizontally on the "arm" of a piece of drift wood. There's a computer fan pushing air 24/7 in the tank. I "mist" heavily nearly every day, preferably with R/O or rain water but I have been lazy and using Tap more often lately. I use the term mist lightly because I have a pump sprayer and a more accurate term would be that I make it rain. I fertilize once a week with MSU, more recently K-Lite. It's in the coldest room in my house, which is more intermediate than cool. Highs max out in the upper 70s most often which the low is at least 63F, preferably 58-60.

Basically, I guess, I treat it like a high light Masdevallia
So, Salixx, if you had to translate that light into natural light, what would you guess?

I would start it at Cattleya level light and see how it responds. A little purple means you've got it right!
