Dendrobium lamellatum
Default Dendrobium lamellatum

I got this one at Orchid Works three weeks ago. I had never seen one and I really liked the flattened canes, so unusual. When I got it the flower buds were just beginning to peek out of the canes. The flowers grow in pendulous bunches of flower spikes. Each spike has several flowers. The largest bunch of the eight flowering canes has 8 spikes of 5-8 flowers each, as shown in the second picture. The third picture is a closeup of the flowers. It is blooming off of old leafless canes as well as newer canes.

That is one cool looking Dend. Thanks for sharing, the blooms are awesome too.
